Our Town.

I created these a few months back and thought it was time to share them.

A good friend of mine who's always supported my artwork asked me if I would design the logo for our hometown centennial. Iroquois Falls will be 100 next year and this is what we came up with to celebrate the occasion.

They decided to use two variations of the logo interchangeably for all the promotional material. The second version has a flower instead of a train, which represents Iroquois Falls as The Garden Town of the North.
I'm so glad I got to do this for my sweet little hometown. They will be creating banners, posters and even bottling wine with the logo as the label. So anxious to see it in print!

Happy 100th Iroquois Falls! You're looking pretty good for your age!

Alive 'n' Thrivin'

I recently worked with Rebecca Mullins to create the brand for her new organic and all natural nutritional counseling company here in North Bay. We had the exact same vision when it came to the design of the logo. Natural, organic with a little whimsy.

This next logo is one Becca decided not to go with, but I wanted to share it anyway. I love the simplicity of the design and the organic and natural feel of the font. Plus green is one of my faves!
If you'd like to chat with Becca you can visit her at Veg Out, her organic juice bar. She is a woman of many talents, and makes a MEAN iced coffee!!

Veg Out is located at 207 Ferguson Street in North Bay, Ontario.

Applause!

I recently had the pleasure of working with the lovely Stephanie Norrie. She just started her own Party Rental business and we worked together to design her logo. It was so refreshing to work with a stylish woman who knew exactly what she wanted and what she envisioned for her brand.
The first logo was the final design she decided to use, but I love the second one and wanted to share it.

You can check out the gorgeous Applause Party Rental website here.

Thanks for working with me, Stephanie!! Congrats!

run for the mind

I recently created some marketing material for a local running and therapy centre.

Active Running hosts an annual trail run for the Alzheimer Society, and this year marked their fifth anniversary. They wanted to re-brand the run and I was happy to donate my services for a such a good cause.

These handouts were created along with posters and brochures, all to raise the awareness of the disease and to raise money for Alzheimer research.

I was happy to help and am feeling hopeful that I somehow made a difference.

f. karim dds reporting for duty

Upon moving to North Bay a couple months ago I was given the opportunity to completely redesign the brand for a dentist new to North Bay himself. Fresh from finishing his BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) he was looking for something fresh and modern to let the city of North Bay know that he had arrived and was ready to fill their cavities!
