here comes the sun, little darling.

Last night, after a long day of rain, the sun came out for a few hours. I quickly took advantage of the rays, grabbed my camera and headed for the hills. 

Duchesnay Falls is just outside North Bay and is a little piece of heaven.

I've said before how lucky I feel to be able to drive five minutes and find myself sitting in front of a peaceful waterfall or taking a hike in the fresh northern Ontario air. These are things I've grown up doing and always seems to rejuvenate my mind and clear my head when I'm having a bit of a creative block. 

The songs sung by birds, the smell of spruce trees and the sound of rushing water does wonders for the soul.

Although I know eventually I'll move back to the city, right now it's been so great to rediscover the beauty of the north.
