This past weekend I read Tatiana de Rosnay's best-seller, Sarah's Key. It tells the story of two families who are intertwined and haunted by a very dark period in France`s history. Tatiana de Rosnay explores the Vel' d'hiv' Jewish round-up and the flood of emotion during this painful event.
It's a part of France's past that I didn't know very much about and am really grateful that I was introduced to this story. Sarah's key has definitely inspired me to learn more about the holocaust and what took place during World War II, such a dark period of history.
I don't usually recommend books but this one is just too good not to share. Read it. It's beautiful and sad, informative and just an amazing story of the courage and strength that is inside so many of us.
